The Crawling Eye (TRAILER)

One of my all-time favorite monster films ever! This one is just screaming for a crappy Sci-Fi Channel remake. Hmmmm, you know what… maybe this writer’s strike ain’t so bad after all?

A truly underrated classic. People tend to laugh this one off as B grade s/f camp but if they had used Harryhausen-esque stop-motion FX instead I bet Crawling Eye would get the respect it deserves.

In England this picture is known as The Trollenberg Terror. There is also a very well made TV series version of the same name that actually came out prior to the movie.

And yes, Janet Munro is/was quite lovely indeed, another screen beauty who died tragically at a young age.

Ha ha, yeah that's a classic. If they ever release a Freakazoid DVD boxset they should definitely include The Crawling Eye movie as a bonus feature so people can compare all the refs.
