Where Monsters Prowl

Is it possible that today’s story title was the partial inspiration for one of Marvel’s later silver age reprint series of the sort of same name? Whatever… you can happily rest assured that wherever prowling monsters and creatures on the loose do dwell, somewhere else out there H. P. Lovecraft’s shambling corpse is probably smiling a little bit too.

From the July 1954 issue of Marvel Tales #125

Love the cover. Looks like something "ghastly" would have drawn.

WELL NOW WE ALL KNOW WHAT TENTACLED MUPPET MONSTERS WOULD LOOK LIKE IF THEY INVADED OUR PLANET! I LIKED THIS STORY BUT SERIOUSLY COULDNT THESE ALIENS HAVE BEEN DRAWN A LITTLE MORE SCARY THAN THIS?

Where the aliens successful? It appears they did not get the reporter.

Yes, if Bill Everett was the artist.

They could have skipped a step and just taken over George F. Will...plus, no one would have ever discovered it.
