Italian artist Maurizio Ercole has been dying for another Matt Fox story, so here you go my friend… savor this tasty terror tale like you would a finely cooked piece of delicious meat.
First you post a sad, solemn story that made me quote an inscription from a gravemarker, now you post one so damn funny i almost wet myself and nearly killed my cat, this is the most fun i've had since last Halloween...makes me wish i coulda got TOWER OF SHADOWS made,my pal Steve woulda been great in this.
Karswell... thank you very much for fulfill my desire :D your comics archive is a bottomless pit (in Italy we say this one for to mean an infinite thing). This is another great story from an incredible golden age artist, Matt Fox!!! Thank you again Karswell!!!
That's a really fine specimen of pre-code horror ; is there any chance for you to host stuff from some late sixties/early seventies book like CHARLTON's MIDNIGHT TALES or SKYWALD's PSYCHO ? Quite often there was terrific art on those they're almost never reprinted ... Anyway , THANX for bringing us these great comics !

"...an online repository of vintage comic fear fare where individual stories from long out-of-print issues are posted in high resolution, page by page. For a fan of EC, Atlas and other Silver Age-era comic companies, it is pure heaven (and hell)..." ---Bryan Reesman (Attention Deficit Delirium)
"...a skeletal slew of complete scans of pre-code comics..." ---Sweet Skulls

The other two Matt Fox stories I've posted are I Was A Vampire, and The Terrible Trophy... both can be found in the September blog archive.
If anyone has any other Matt Fox stories they'd like to submit and share please email me. Thanks!

It's rare, but occasionally I will post a later silver age story... mostly I prefer to keep this blog focused on 50's pre-code horror though.
Check my links below, there are quite a few other blogs listed that feature the later stuff.
