Top quality Atlas stuff, as always.

It does hang on some pretty loose logic, we have the scientist saying things like "the whole world will kneel before me" and "synthetic vampire" which I think would set any of us off to get the torches and pitchforks, instead of simply explaining himself.

And, of course, in the second one, the monster can talk, but refuses to do so! And refuses to point out the mayor is a robot! Yeesh!

Can you blame the town folks?

Suspend disbelief, which is perfectly fine, and they are great, well paced, and well illustrated tales. We lost another great one this week.

It is a shame that he is now gone ... He was one of those who helped form the concept of "super hero" comics... I had him sign a "Posion Ivy" card for me some years back... He was the mind that "created" her...

I knew his work on Batman in the 1960s; wouldn't have recognised this either.

Aw, that sucks. Rest in peace, Carmine.

(PS, this ish has a seriously awesome Bill Everett cover, too. What art excellence all around!)
