His performance of Dracula character is matchless!

And he was such a versatile artist. I still remember his performance as a charismatic (and very tall)alien in "Space: 1999". Peter Cushing starred in that show, too.

It is the end of an era with his passing.

He was a great actor in any movie he was in, his presence managed to save many B or B- films from obscurity just by starring or co starring in them.

Unlike Bela Lugosi, Christopher Lee was able to escape the shadow of Dracula, he didn't get typecasted as a vampire all through his career.

Its sad when a movie icon passes, but like the infamous Count himself, Christopher Lee will live on forever in the minds of horror fans worldwide.

For me, Lugosi will always be Dracula, be Lee smartly escaped the nobleman aspect and gave us our best feral Dracula. For all the other things he was in, he's still that scary Hammer Dracula to me!
